As understanding the interactions between Shot Blasting Machines and sand castings, Kholee Blast develops perfect shot blasting machines for sand castings which now is widely used in foundry industry.
The key technology of shot blasting machines for sand casting is to remove loose molding and core sand from the blasting abrasives.
Sand is extremely abrasive. Even a small amount of sand (0.5-1 percent) in the abrasives will cause the blast wheels and blast machine to wear more quickly. There are known cases where, due to a poorly functioning abrasive cleaning system, the blades had to be replaced every eight hours.
Therefore, shot blast machines dealing with more than six percent sand in the blast abrasives must be equipped with a combined dual drum magnetic separator for the safe removal of sand in the blast abrasives and an air-wash separator taking out any remaining sand, broken down media, and dust.
Kholee Blast designs and manufactures KLBS-B1000A tumble belt shot blasting machine to clean sand castings. With vibrating screen conveyor and dual drum magnetic separator + air wash, our equipment can separate sand, coarse contaminants and dust from Steel Shots. Because of no sand in blasting abrasives, the replacement spare parts in blast wheels and equipment will have much longer service than traditional tumble belt shot blasting machine. Our shot blasting machine is widely used in the foundry industry and enjoy good reputations.
